My DECEPTICONS made the playoffs! YAY! Here's my squad:
QB: Mark Brunell, Kerry Collins
RB: Clinton Portis, Cadillac Williams
WR: Joe Horn, Matt Jones, Antonio Bryant
TE: Alge Crumpler
K: Nate Kaeding
DEF: Denver
If you think my team isn't too strong, you're right. I just snuck in the playoffs with this week's win. It's a whole other season from here though...
GO DECEPTICONS!!!
How is everyone else doing in your respective leagues?
And oh yeah, good luck!

Re: Playoffs?!? (Jim Mora Sr.)
Mon, December 5, 2005 - 7:00 AMWe still have one more week of games before our playoffs... I'm 2 games back of my division lead, but I'm in the hunt for the wildcard...
My game is finished (I won 100-50) but the division leader still has a player in tonight's game (as does his opponent). He's 4 pts down, so assuming Seattle's Jerramy Stevens (TE) doesn't score 4 more points than Philly's Brian Westbrook (RB) I'll only be 1 game back. If I manage to win next week and he loses we'll be tied... and then I'll win on the 2nd tiebreaker (best division record, we tied in the first week).
If that doesn't happen, I'm still in the hunt for the wildcard, 1-1/2 games up. I'm 8-4-1 and he's 7-6. -

Re: Playoffs?!? (Jim Mora Sr.)
Tue, December 6, 2005 - 7:17 PMI made the playoffs too! I actually ended up pulling 2nd place overall (prize money in our league... $354 whoo hoo!!!!!!) just barely though. I was tied at 8-5 with two other teams but pulled it out by leading the league in total points. Starting Squad:
QBs: Carson Palmer, Drew Bledsoe
RBs: Shaun Alexander, Mike Anderson
WRs: Joey Galloway, Amani Toomer, T.J Houshmenzadah
K: Neil Rackers (Vanderjagt for backup)
TE: Jeremy Shockey
Def: Carolina
Got some tough teams to face, the champs have LT and Larry Johnson AND INdy's D but I'm hoping I can pull it out. -

Re: Playoffs?!? (Jim Mora Sr.)
Wed, December 7, 2005 - 11:28 AMI'm 1 game back! As expected my division rival lost...
My starting lineup is...
Brees QB
L Johnson RB

Projections have me winning the last game by 17 and my rival winning by 9... But projections don't mean crap... -

Re: Playoffs?!? (Jim Mora Sr.)
Wed, December 7, 2005 - 1:26 PMYou guys are showing to have some strong looking teams, but I suppose that's to be expected if you're good enough to make the playoffs. Damn I want to win it all!
Joining the FF league: $100
Purchasing Sunday Ticket to watch the games: $200
Bragging rights if I win this thing...
PRICELESS!!! -

Re: Playoffs?!? (Jim Mora Sr.)
Tue, December 13, 2005 - 5:55 AMI made it to the playoffs with the #2 seed... I'll play the #3 seed which is actually better...
I won my division, with a 9-4-1 record but only on the 2nd tiebreaker... the team that finished 2nd also had a 9-4-1 record and got the wildcard and the #4 seed, which means they'll face the #1 seed who had a 10-4 record. The #3 seed only has a 8-6 record...
the team I face next week is...
Vick, M QB @CHI
Alexander, S RB @TEN
Johnson, R RB @DET
Chambers, C WR vsNYJ
Smith, R WR @BUF
Clark, D TE vsSD
Kasay, J K @NO
Dolphins, DST vsNYJ
Alexander may get 4 TDs again against Tennessee but I think Vick will have major problems against Chicago.
